we are here
Directions From Juan Santamaria International (SJO):
The road from the airport is relatively good although we do not recommend that you make this drive in the
dark. It is very curvy , steep and narrow through some of the mountain passes.
Exit the airport. Once you leave the airport road, you will want to be going in the opposite direction that you
just traveled. In order to go in the direction of San Ramon, Jaco, Quepos, etc. go to the first round-about
and go all the way around so that you make a giant U-turn and begin following the signs to San Ramon. Take
note that traffic merges from all sides. Take the Panamerican Highway #1 North towards San Ramon /
Puntarenas. Keep driving on the highway north until the first main exit on your right which has a sign that
says: Atenas, Orotina , Jaco, Quepos. Take that exit and turn left immediately at the stop sign. Cross over the
highway and continue towards Atenas, San Mateo and then Orotina. Once in Orotina follow the signs to Jaco
and Quepos/ Manuel Antonio Nat. Park.
On the way you may want to stop at the Tarcoles Bridge to take a look at the crocodiles. Continue on that
road until you reach Jaco. (Jaco is approximately an hour and a half drive (depending on traffic) from the San
Jose International Airport)
From Jaco drive south approximately 30 kilometers (20 miles). After you pass Esterillos, Monterey and Del
Pacifico, you will see signs on your right for the entrance to Playa Bejuco. Drive down towards the beach and
turn left into the gated community of Costa Del Sol.
